Description
Siderians are not the only cats of the metafelis genus; a genus within the felidae family. Actually there are three metafelids, of which the siderian is the one living in boreal and temperate zones. Javines, on the contrary are, a species that is very closely related to the siderian, but living mainly on the southern hemisphere, in more open grassland and scrub-lands.
Javines are approx. 20 cm smaller than siderians (siderian males are 1.60 meter at the shoulder); making javine males ~1.40 meter and females 1.30. Javs are also much lighter build and have a finer, and longer face. They resemble 'extreme type' Oriental cats, but with more fur extensions.
Javines and siderians are genetically so closely related that they can produce more or less fertile hybrids; but cultural differences prevent the two species from mixing; however bastards occur...
A more complete reference sheet of the javine (and siderian, arctian and canovine) follows later

Also loving the more long and almost egg-shaped braincase, and it's interesting how they lack the shoulder-tufts of Siderians. ^^
