Yves versus Stian

Some people seem to have trouble distinguishing between these two siderians (big cats as tall as a horse; females: 1.50 m and males 1.6 m at the shoulder)…and thinking that Stian is the main character of the current graphic novel I’m publishing (Theory of Mind) – but this novel features a completely different guy, namely Yves. Stian will appear in the next volumes I'm working on- but I haven't published anything of that yet (read more about it on my journal!).

To me Yves and Stian are completely the opposite in many ways and it is hard to look for similarities despite the fact that they are both male siderians and more or less white with (as RiverRaven noticed) pointy ears.

Otherwise Stian and Yves differ in:
- The colour of white (Yves is dominant white with a pink, pigment-less skin while Stian is reversed silver with a black, pigmented skin)
- Facial anatomy: shape of the cheekbones, chin, profile, zygomatic arch, whisker-pads – basically everything.
- Eye shape: Yves’ eyes are almond shaped while Stian’s are angular and dark edged.
- Eye colour:  Yves has light blue eyes while Stian has light yellow-green eyes.
- Ear position: vertical vs airplane ears
- Ear shape: Stian has a little kink in the middle
- Length and posture of the tail: Yves’s tail is shorter and the tip often tilted to the side.
- Overall size…quite obvious...
- Size of the feet…no comments
- Body build: Yves is very light build while Stian is robust and bony (I used to say that his skeleton is too big for his body) - Stian's shoulder blades and front quarters are immense compared to Yves'.
- Shape of the back and pelvis - see the opposite curves.
- Stance
- Neck fur – both the tuft of hair between the shoulder blades is different, as for the fur on the neck and throat
- The cheek fur
- Ornaments; Yves has none…
- Stian often wears metal ornaments – a pentagram necklace and two bracelets, while Yves has nothing.
And a last thing: Yves was born in the French Alps while Stian is from Norway.
